With discord it is honestly the same with twitter, it is all about how you use it and what servers you are on. That is the beauty of having different curators within the same platform, it is easier for ppl to find someone they somewhat resonate with to be exposed to content they like. Now, only selected individuals would be "curators" and can make their own posts, so you could definitely have some that make more elaborate and lengthy posts and some that are shorter. There could definitely be threads or chats meant for more critical discussion, but the main point would be the curation of content so that the average joe user could get higher quality content more easily recommended rather than browsing through countless pieces of whatever media to find high quality stuff. Happens not only with nsfw but honestly across the entirety of media, even when critiquing games in a more objective and analytical manner for example. Think this would be a great thing to have? A way to have nsfw content curated to you as a userĬlick to expand.Definitely know where you are coming from with the points brought up from my own experience.
I figured I'd make a quick thread here, simply to try and gauge interest/thoughts on something like this. Obviously these individuals might be more focused on a specific type of content to curate, but that way a user/viewer looking at whats curated can be presented with already judged and decided content.
Thats why I always hoped there would be a good way to have content curated by individuals. I browse a lot of nsfw stuff of different kinds and also usually look at them more critically (i have a professional design background, so its kind of an occupational hazard i guess xD) but that means basically sieving through a heckin lot of lackluster content, often trying to find the good stuff in the rough. Recently been playing with the idea to start a discord server for the purposes of having specific individuals basically "curate" nsfw content of different kinds (games, art, hmv, animations, vn etc etc) via the discord forum threads functionality.
